FINISHING UP

I finished this quilt up last weekend.  Well, I still need to put on the binding, but I am not sure where I put the fabric.
Soaking in cool water without soap.  Getting all of the blue water soluble marker out and making it ready for blocking.
Rolled up in a towel to absorb much of the water.  Don't wring or twist the wet quilt.
Block to the correct size.  I pinned in the 1/4" that will be under the binding.  Pin close together to prevent uneven pulling.
On a warm summer day, I would drag out the fan and direct it onto the quilt to dry it faster.  Since it was 4 degrees outside, I let it air dry.  It took a day.
I called the quilt I GET BY (with a little help from my friends)
It is 17x17"
Everything is deliberately skewed and uneven. It starts with the compass being off center with all of the borders being 'off' in some way.
It was made mostly from one line of Moda and has Hobbs Wool Batting. Quilted with YLI silk on top and matching Bottom Line in the bobbin. The applique was thread drawn with Aurifil threads before the top was quilted.

That's about it.  I already have another project waiting in the wings.  Something a little different.

Have a good weekend!!
