When making a quilt, the hardest thing for me is deciding on the quilting.
This is a medallion quilt that will finish at 17". I have the backing ready, I have to find all of my scraps of wool batting, I have the thread, and the foot on my machine.
So far, all I did was stitch accent the raw edge applique in the corner. The fabric in this quilt is from a recent line of Moda fabrics.. the name escapes me. It started from one of those packages of 5" charms.
Here is some of what the applique looked like before all of it was stitched.
Here is the applique after I finished. When I quilt it, I will just do the main lines.
I'll be back when I finish this with the details.
So stunning I can hardly wait to see it finished!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful mini quilt -- so stunning and dramatic! I'm really looking forward to seeing how you quilt it.
