CLOSEST TO BEING FINISHED

I haven't finished quilty things for a while and whith my guild show coming up next month, this was the closest to being finished.  It is based on Karen Stone's Yardbirds Circling the Cat.  I made it with Cherrywood fabrics.. which even though pre-washed (not enough apparently) bled.  It is 13x13 and has wool batting and silk thread.  I did something different with this one.  I changed the top thread color to match, and I stopped at the end of every straight line and used a self-threading needle to pull the ends into the batting.  for each line there were two thread ends on the top, and two on the back.  Needless to say, it took 15 hours to quilt. But if I had to do it over again, this is the way to go.  It looks much better and neater to do it this way. I call it "That's the Ticket" because I couldn't think of anything else, and I used a fabric printed with movie tickets for the back.
It actually is square.  Just looks wonky because I laid it in a chair to photograph.
